Seasonal drawing weekends in the glorious forest garden setting of High Dalby House, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.

In this inspiring setting, we’ll use drawing as a way of noticing, of slowing down and connecting with nature and the seasons. We’ll embrace the process of drawing and experiment with what drawing can be – expanding the possibilities and building our drawing approaches. For these retreats, I’m joined by my sister Kathryn Welford, a fellow artist and art educator, and together we’ll support you in developing your drawing, at whatever stage you’re at. With guided exercises, time to draw as you choose and supportive discussion we’ll open up a myriad ways to ‘draw’.

With luxury accommodation and delicious food included, these retreats are suitable for anyone with an interest in drawing and all levels of experience.
