An en-suite with a view!

With large sea-facing windows streaming light into a very special house overlooking the spectacular views of the east coast, this residential commission involved an internal wall to an en-suite bathroom. Providing privacy whilst still allowing panoramic views over the bay, the design combined silhouettes of birds in flight with rippling water patterns and words from the poem ‘The Sea and the Hill’ by Rudyard Kipling that flow amongst the water.

Sunlight streams through the bedroom windows and strikes the reflective surfaces, creating reflections and projections around the room, moving with the time of day and changing with the weather.
